Dr. Dan Hefley
Dr. Hefley is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in Wellington, KS for 27 years. Doc’s wife, Kim, is a local elementary school counselor, and they are blessed with three children.
--- Kerby, an Oklahoma State graduate lives and works in Broken Arrow, Ok. He and his lovely future wife Kristen are employed at Zeeco as engineers. They enjoy lots of exercise with our future Grand Dog, Gabby.
---Troyce, a Wichita State University graduate is working in Atlanta, GA for Georgia Pacific as a Sales Analyst. He has a red Doberman, Rory, our first Grand Dog.
---Shanlyn attends Oklahoma State University, majoring in Agribusiness, Pre-Veterinary Medicine and plans to graduate in May of 2016 with a B.S in Agricultural Economics. She is hoping to secure a Rhodesian Ridgeback for a graduation present to complete our Grand Dog family.
The entire family enjoys attending sporting events together when possible. Dr. Hefley is very supportive of 4H projects and enjoys teaching about animals.
Dr. Dan and Kim have 2 Yorkies (Jacie & Boone), 1 Sheltie (Bitsy), 1 Calico Cat,(Pokey) & 1 Manx Cat (Smeagol or Gollum depending on his mood).
Animal Care Technicians
Kathy and her husband, Ernie, celebrated 50 years of marriage in June, 2010. They have one daughter and son-in-law and a grown grandaughter. At this time, kitties (Ebony & Kink) are in residence. She was first employed by Arrowhead in 2005 following retirement from owning and directing Sunshine Preschool for 32 years. Kathy speaks "Cat" and finds similarities between working with children and animals. She states that "Animals are just kids with fur"
Chelsea In addition to being an Animal Care Technician, she also excels as
a Pet Groomer and is currently attending Penn Foster to obtain her
associates in Veterinary Technician degree. Chelsea's skills and passion
are perfect for her occupation. She has honed her grooming abilities and
is a client favorite. She has ultimate patience with every animal and her
kind heart shows in her desire to help animals of all kinds. In her
personal life, Chelsea and her husband Billy, love and care for 3 dogs, 2
cats and a rabbit in their home
Sharon in addition to being an Animal Care Technician, is one our Pet
Groomers. Sharon is our energizer bunny trying to keep us organized! She
brings a wealth of past experience at a variety of jobs and is one busy
lady, with her husband Tyler they enjoy their 5 children (Erin, Trevor,
Emma, Blake & Luke) at home as well as their pets (Kenzie, Violet, and
Millie). We love her compassionate heart for all our Arrowhead animals and
Addy is our newest addition to our staff. She is a Wellington High School
Senior and is planning to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Pokey
our clinic cat loves her already and is trying in influence her to go south
to Oklahoma State University. We will love her the same if she travels
north to the purple Country at Kansas State University. Her calmness is
very soothing to the animals, and she passionate about learning everything
about veterinary medicine. Addy is getting lots of experience from her own
animals Sophia a Bassett Hound, Emma, a Beagle, Jack & Louie her cats, and
of course Noble her horse.
Camille and her husband, Steve, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. They have three dogs (Harley, Foxy & Jake) and 1 cat (Sammy).
